Established over two decades ago in 1995, The French Pantry was recognized as the Best Dessert in Jacksonville. Originated with Tim and Barbara Felver's cross-country move from California to Northeast Florida. Their previous experience working alongside renowned figures such as Wolfgang Puck and Mary Bergin laid a solid foundation for their venture. Settling in a warehouse on Powers Avenue, close to Wolfson High School, they initiated a commercial baking business. Their proximity to the school played an important role in the bakery's evolution.
The narrative of The French Pantry took a significant turn in 2012 with the involvement of John Valentino, culminating in Valentino assuming ownership. Despite the change in stewardship, the essence and menu of The French Pantry have remained unchanged, with the Felvers maintaining a hands-on approach to the culinary offerings. The establishment continues to be known for its atmosphere, baked goods and quality, including artisanal breads and desserts.

A true gem in a nondescript location. Excellent bread. Highly recommend the Bang Bang shrimp Po Boy sandwich and the Parisian Roast beef sandwich. Fries were on point. We will be back.
